EUROPEAN MACHINE MANUFACTURERS EXPECTED IN LEIPZIG
At the Intec and Z industrial fairs, more than 730 exhibitors from 26 countries will present the latest developments in the metalworking and subcontracting industries
Intec and the Subcontracting Fair Z will take place from 11 to 14 March, marking an important start to the year and providing a stable cornerstone for the industry. Despite the challenging economic conditions, the strong presence of companies from the mechanical and plant engineering sectors, as well as the classic supplier industry, has been maintained at the same high level as the previous year’s event. This once again emphasises the importance of the first major industry get-together at the beginning of the financial year.
“The high number of high-profile registrations from market and technology leaders, as well as from small and medium-sized companies, proves that the Intec and Z, at the centre of a strong mechanical engineering region, offer the best conditions. The focus on Central and Eastern Europe is unique and will enable decision-makers and experts to establish business contacts that are not possible in such a concentrated form at any other trade fair venue in the metalworking industry,” explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe.
Support from politicians, associations and the advisory board
Saxony's Minister for Economic Affairs, Dirk Panter, who will be visiting the trade fair on 13 March, says: “The trade fair alliance is a valuable industry get-together for European players in mechanical and plant engineering, robotics and the supplier industry. The trade fairs connect industry representatives and provide inspiration for overcoming various challenges in the global marketplace. The industry and each individual company must therefore focus on several goals at the same time: increasing productivity, using renewable energy sources, digitalising industrial processes and improving the resilience of supply chains and networks. I am looking forward to the tour of the exhibition and to interesting discussions with innovative exhibitors from Saxony.”
Oliver Köhn, Managing Director, VDMA (East), adds: “The trade fair duo right on our doorstep is a stroke of luck for the region.’ It promises an insight into many exciting new products and technologies. At the same time, exhibitors will find the perfect platform to increase their visibility and attract new customers – a real catalyst for innovation, cooperation and ultimately growth.”
“The Leipziger Messe is celebrating its 860th birthday this year. Intec, the largest showcase for technology and innovation in Eastern Germany, is taking place for the 19th time. N+P, as a digitisation partner to industry, will be showing examples of the growing fusion of the real and digital worlds. We maintain business and relationships at Intec. Leipzig has been the ideal place for trade and openness for centuries, and remains so today,” concludes Intec advisory board member Jens Hertwig.
The entire value chain at a glance
At the trade fair duo, technology leaders from the machine tool manufacturing industry, renowned suppliers of precision tools, specialists in automation solutions and international suppliers will be showcasing innovations or optimised products and services. The products on show at Intec consist particularly of machine tools, machine components, tools and clamping devices, as well as factory automation – a range of digital solutions and smart developments also awaits visitors. Z specialises in innovative and flexible subcontracting services for lower and middle production levels.
Expertise meets diversity in the specialist and supporting programme
The complex exhibition will be rounded off by a specialist programme that picks up on the most important future-oriented topics additive manufacturing, hydrogen system production, digitalisation and automation. The interactive forum hy.tec and the accompanying exhibition visualise the value chain for the first time, enable an exchange with experts and provide support for entering new business fields in the rapidly growing hydrogen technology market. The technology forum “Additive Manufacturing” will use numerous high-calibre lectures and practical application examples from a range of different industries to show how this key technology can revolutionise the design and manufacturing process of products. The supporting programme, with its exclusive industry evening, international business meetings and young talent day, offers the opportunity to make targeted contacts with suppliers, customers, new employees or partners at home and abroad.
